About Me

Hey, my name is Oliver Hughes and I am a game developer! I have been working in the games industry for almost a decade now. I knew from a very early age that I wanted to work in games. Ever since I played The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time at around 9 years old. I became obsessed with video games and I knew that’s what I wanted to do when I grew up.

Fast forward about 7 years and I enrolled in college to study game design and animation, this is where I began to learn how to make games and found a new passion for not only playing video games but creating them as well. Following this I attended university and graduated with a degree in game design which helped me land my first job in the games industry! I began my career in QA where I eventually moved on to my dream job as a game designer.
I worked as a mission designer for the huge game, Star Citizen. One of my most notable missions for that game was the prison escape mission. I also had the opportunity to design and develop the Astromedics minigame which was used to help advertise a ship sale. I have since moved on from Star Citizen and I now work for a VR games company.
Though I enjoy working in the industry, my dream is to one day run a studio of my own and create my own games and worlds which inspired me so much as a child and that is why I have begun work on my biggest solo project to date, CURFEW.
